Model Portrait & Photo shoots

Model cardsModeling requires you to send your details to model agencies, its a good idea to have some modeling test cards printed, these cards hold your details and several images of you showing what you can look like to agencies and their clients and then you can go to castings.

Modeling Portrait Photography

Model portraits are a little different to normal shoots as they require specific photographs to be taken, You are also required to have several changes of clothes and have a range of poses and looks.

modelling portraitsGrafixphoto gives you an advantage as the Lead Photographer is an Ex model having worked for some big names and can really work well with you to give you those photos that you really want to make a impact and guide you through the day if you have little to no expedience.

We offer two type of shoot a short shoot and a day+ shoot. For those looking for some' model like' photos or to add to their current portfolio, the short shoot is probably the better option.

Day shoots will involve a considerable amount of work and some knowledge to shoot a wide range of photo's to give you a complete portfolio, this can mean traveling to different locations, as well as having your hair and make up changed during the day.

On your Modeling photoshoot

First of all you will have a meeting with Rory the lead photographer and then you may be refereed to other photographers as necessary about your modeling portfolio or actor portfolio cards and books.

You then bring a range of clothes to wear during your model portfolio shoot to give you a different look for the days shoot. Hair and make up can be arranged at an additional cost or you can supply your own.

The day of the shoot will be agreed in advanced; We go off to the first venue, we shoot for some time and then head to any second venue or you change into another outfit for your modelshoot which will be carried out like a fashion shoot. this type of shoot will be dependant on location shooting or studio shooting.

Day two, we re shoot the venues again or at new venues, with different hair styles and outfits to cover all aspects of the photography and your looks(styles) for the model cards /actor cards and /or portfolio dependant on your needs.
After day one, you may view the modelling photo's on a preview website so that you can see your photos that have been taken the for day two we try to improve and add variation.

After any followup shoots, the images are added to the website preview and test cards are designed, you can then select any images that you would like to print for your self or build into an album or your model portfolio. Designs for a portfolio book and test cards are submitted for you to select from, Once the selection is made in around one week your cards and any other items ordered will be available for collection.

Bring a range of clothing that will suit your area of work, you will be advised in the initial meeting with your photographer.
Wear light makeup, but bring makeup and a friend to help you, this can offer you a quicker turn around when getting changed or trying new make up sets. a professional can be provided if necessary also consider different hair styles to give a range of looks. Have good nights sleep and eat well the day before so you look fresh for the fasion styled test shoot.

Adult modelling Photo shoot

If you are going for a more adult theme, you will need much the same as a normal modeling photo shoot, just different clothing and extras which your photographer will advise you. This type of photography normally requires a specialist studio or venue for the best results. Also see our Boudoir & Glamour photography website .
